FactSet turned 40 and wanted to take a break from crunching data and providing financial insights in order to celebrate. I developed ideas to give them a big (and meaningful) hurrah that created awareness around their brand and got everyone excited about the company.
The concept? 40/40 vision – because it's twice as good as 20/20.
The first idea? Install vinyl wall and glass stickers that highlight important events or people from a featured year and pair them with a milestone from FactSet’s history.
The second idea? Put up billboards with body copy so small it’s illegible, then have giveaway events at the billboard locations with street teams handing out cardboard binoculars. Why? Because FactSet is all about vision, taking a closer look, and zooming in on information to create value. Participants can use the binoculars to read the billboard and do the same.
Celebrations are social events so we suggested using Instagram Story polls in order to tap into the insights of FactSet's Instagram followers.
We pitched using a podcast to cement FactSet’s place as an industry leader interested in getting information out to the world. We called it the Over/Under Conversation series, and the concept is two people (business leaders, thought leaders, etc.) one over 40 and one under 40, having a conversation facilitated by FactSet.
